The TI 4200 was an excellent card about a year ago, there's much better out there right now...Based on whatever budgetary constraints you have I'd look at either the ATI 9600XT or 9800 Pro or if you got big buck go for the 9800XT

AA=Anti Aliasing...This link (http://www.widearea.co.uk/designer/anti.html) will explain it to you better than I could ever hope to...I've never owned that card so I can't speak about it's adjustments, I've read many posts for other users both here and at other forums about it though.

That is still a good card, just I doubt it can handle some of the newer games like farcry. If you are playing games, an upgrade might be in your near future, but if you only use the machine for desktop publishing and word processing, save your $$$.

Like Paragon said, if you are looking towards the game side , look at top end ATI or NVidia if you have the $$$, or save a few $$$ and go for the ATI. :thumb:

Can anyone check this out I know paragon you gave me a suggestion to a good card but. I seen this at micro center here in Ohio for 66.00
It was a return card. but it has already hung up me with black vertical line at this site. So I think I'm going to take it back.
This is from the other card I have I don’t think it’s much better.
I'm no expert. So if you look at it.

That link is dead at the moment :yikes: We're just trying to get you in the league with the rest of the equipment that you now have...As Hawk said if it's not for gaming of video editing and graphics what you have is fine :thumb:

If you can swing it, the 9600XT will probably give the most bang for the buck. Its a great card for the price $151.00 at NewEgg

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-326&depa=0

Or the GeForce 5200 for $120.00

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-143-011&depa=0

It basically comes down to what you plan on doing with you system. If you don't plan on doing any gaming, then you're fine with what you have. If you plan on doing some mild to moderate gaming then you'll want to look into some mid level cards like the ATI 9600 and the GeForce 5200/5600. If you plan on hardcore gaming then the ATI 9800XT or the GeForce 5950 is the only way to go.

No Gaming $80-$200
Mild Gaming $150-$300
Hardcore Gaming $250-UP

Hope that helps. :)

The new highend cards are great but they're expensive, but you really don't need anything faster than a Radeon 9700 Pro right now. Even more than a year after it's release it's still one of the fastest cards on the market and with it you'll be able to play just about any game you desire. If I where determined to buy a highend graphics card and was cash strapped at the same time I'd consider this (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=Radeon+9700+pro).
