i'm digging that mosfet cooling system. i think i can hold off on a mobo purchase unitil the guys here can see if it makes a difference. OR i could invest in one of those zalman fan brackets to the job.

is that an intake or exaust fan?
it looks like an intake fan! duh!
(it should be an exaust fan)
ABIT admitting the mosfets cant handle the power requirements?

It will blow warm air from your case into the mosfets.Yor right,it probably should blow out but either way warm air will be circulating inside the case unless you case fans are doing its job.

Looks like you can reverse the fan....

The main thing looks as if it is trying to shield them from the heat that is blown onto them buy the cpu hsf and possibly the heat build up in the upper portion of poorly ventilated cases....
An intake could work if the case has vents there ( I need to look at mine) and then some slight vents at the end of the plastic containment.....may build up positive pressure though and add more dust to collect on them....
An exhaust would build negative pressure but what would it pull from??? If it exhausted out it would have to pull in warm case air to drag out and thus across the things that are trying to be cooled....
The real issue may be are they the ones generating the heat that needs to be removed or are they being shielded because other factors along with their own heat build-up is causing issues....

Actually...if you look at it better, you'll see that they moved down all the onboard componente. So That fan is where the PS/2 ports and such would normally be.
So you don't have to worry about a vent....

It looks intense. Maybe an IC-7 is in the future.

I think you are correct. Notice how close the PCI1 slot is to the AGP slot? Didn't Abit do away with the PCI1 slot on the IC7-G. Hmmmm.
