admins plz dont get mad i made a post about a drive i grabbed....members should really see what $100 can get u now.

this is a solid bomb deal http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148140 and im still in shock as i read like 10 reviews.this review is 14 pages of graphs\charts\pics and lil wording here being the numbers speak for themselves.keep in mind this hd was put up against the 74gig,and 150 raptor x 16mb drives head to head that i was going to buy(so glad i didnt).i had my 4 years with my older raptors and needed a new raid array,going to 3 drives this time i really got a massive bang for the mere $100 a drive.take 5 min and look at this thing go...:bow:

I have some of these drives , they are indeed fast drives . just keep in mind that they are Sata 2 drives and to get the rated preformance they will need to be connected to a Sata 2 controler

my dfi ultra d in my sig handles sata2 just fine?and i had a small edit and change of heart at 6am i cancelled my order and orderd a single raptor-x drive.:rolleyes: last minute decesion.:coocoo:

ah i didnt realize the dfi ultra d had Sata 2 . in that case i probly would have stuck with them although the raptors w/16mb cache sound sweet . post some benches up on them once you get them up and runnin in raid 0 . im curious to see how they stack up .
on a unrelated note that 22" Diamondtron NF Monitor you have is got to be awsome ! I know i love my 19 " best monitor ive every looked at ! makes my 19" veiwsonic 924 look dull !
