Toshiba 16mb cache drive

Just got it for my eMachine A64 laptop.

7200rpm - 16mb cache - 50gb

to replace:>

4200rpm - 2mb cache - 60gb

Ill run some benches on it and compare to the benches I ran on the old drive...seems fast already in normal use... :D

Not too bad results.
Average Access went from:> 19.6ms to 15.8ms
Buffereed Read went from:> 76.2mb to 81.1mb
Linear Read went from:> 23.2mb to 27.0mb
Quick Linear Read went from:> 24.5mb to 27.0mb
Random Read went from:> 19.5mb to 26.6mb

I think the drive should work in any laptop, I bought it as an OEM version drive from Mwave.com ($192+s/h).
pretty good for a laptop.....since I moved full time to my lappy ,I felt thelag of the stock drive.
Im moving so I packed all my desktops into my parents house...for a while..but my luck,I packed them up as the memory contest started..go figure !
