Just got some of this memory (1x512) but don't seem to be having much luck with it . Seen other people manage 260 FSB with this ram so thought I would have a little play .Inserted new module and booted up setting cmos to optimal for first boot ( running mobile 2500 XP ) but PC would not boot .Altered settings manually ( altered it to run as standard 2500 ) and system booted up fine but crashed Sisoft sandra , whatever configs I tried nothing was stable .Ran memtest 86 v 3 which came up with string of errors , upped the chip voltage a notch ( still under accepted limits) and the errors get even more .Am I doing something wrong or do I have a faulty stick of ram .

Can you underclock the CPU to test just the memory stick?

stock volts, maybe 100fsb with a ratio to get the memory to run @ spec?
