It's been fun...
but to be honest, I really miss HT...
whenever I get email, my system lags for 1 second while I play games...
whenever I play games, when something happens, I lag...
so...
I've decided to go back to try out mobile bartons now! :)
they are A LOT cheaper and just by selling my a64 3000+, i'll have enough to buy a cpu AND mobo!!! :)
if this doesn't work out.... then off to p4 land i go!
but i'll wait until the new socket to upgrade...

If you like the 'feel' of two procs that HT kinda of provides, then get a real two proc system. My dual Opteron definitely has a faster feel than my dual Xeon with HT enabled. However, my Opterons are only 1.4Ghz and my Xeons are 2.66Ghz. Yet still the Opteron is nicer. :)

lol... dual opteron system... yum....
but i don't want tos pend that much money!!! :)
cuz i can't :) hehehe...
anyway...
i'm thinking of either getting the nf7-s v.2 or the dfi infinity and doing full blown mods to both boards... AND getting a mobile 2600+ and doing the L12 mod to it to get as high a fsb as possible....
i hear though that the infinity allows most people to get to around 250 mhz w/o any mods... pretty impressive for an nforce2 board...
gotta see if i can get a better score for the contest :) ... though i did just increase my score my 300 points the other day...
Well I've been reading around on these Mobiles and I'm afraid I have the bug. Too much fun to pass up. Just need to choose a mobo....... :smash:

dfi infinity seems to be the popular choice of the hardcore o/c-er followed up closely by the nf7-s

Shim,. I've been playing with an AN7, 2500 mobile and an SP97 the last few days. Those numbers should be no problem. ;)
I'll post up my findings tonight I hope. :)

I wonder if there will be hybrid boards? PCI Express/AGP, SATAI/SATAII, DDR/DDRII, aTX/bTX. :(
