I love this game. I have had Counter-Strike for about 3 years, and a friend of mine said I could try SoF2, so I did. The multi-player aspect of it is awesome... it's taken of CS's spot as my favorite multi-player game.
The only problem I have is finding a good server... you find these clan servers, and after about a half our everyone gets booted and a password is put on it so they can "scrimmage" or whatever the hell they call it. If anyone knows of some good SoF2 servers, please share the IP's with me... I've yet to find one that I go back to on a regular basis.

To be really good in SOF2 all you need to do is grab the shotty, keep finger down on fire button and continously jump from side to side. The game would compare to CS if they got rid of the shotty and you think they would learned after they screwed up SOF 1 with a patch that increased the strength of the shotty. Most of the reasonable online FPS left the game (SOF1) to go to CS and when SOF2 came out, some of us returned only to be disappointed again. This is the main reason why you are having trouble finding a half decent server to play on. I like the graphics in the game and played it for two months only using the Talon. Then BF1942 came out the online gaming world changed for ever.

I get accused of cheating a lot for some reason... I rarely use the shot gun, only if I'm in close quarters... but I aim, and I think that's the difference between me and a lot of people, I get head shots left and right because I aim for the head. I'm usually about 2:1 when I play... I also have surround sound speakers, so that helps too, I can hear someone coming down a hallway behind me, so I can pull the pin on a grenade and toss it around the corner right as they're coming.

I have BF1942 too... but I don't find it as fun as SoF2... I play it sometimes, but sometimes I don't play it cause I don't feel like putting the CD in the drive, lol.

BTW... recommend a good BF1942 server?

BF1942 eats alot of bandwith. A typical cable connection can fit 12 SOF players. A cable connection on BF1942 can fit maybe 4-6. A T1 connection can fit 16 players. Due to this fact , you will not find alot of good lag free servers in BF1942. One that I like is KYCW server which runs the Desert Combat Mod. I was looking at your SOF pics and you have a blue hud at the bottom of the screen which i haven't seen before. There must be a new patch out. Hopefully they corrected the shotgun.

That's the latest OSP release. They have made a shotgun patch though... they decreased it's accuracey quite a bit while running and jumping. However, it still has the power to kill a person with one shot at close range, just like in real life.
