I have the following system

AMD64 3000+
AN50R rev1.3 unmodded
1x 256MB KHX3200K2/512
128MB Gigacube 9800PRO Xtreme stock speed @ 400/700

I only recently swapped out my 512MB OCZ PC3500 Plat LE BH-5 which ran @ 10x 220-225mhz 2-2-2-6 at 2.9v vdimm LDT 3x and put in 1x 256MB KHX3200K2/512 which clocks amazingly just for 2.9v vdimm

anyway while doing some Super Pi benchmarks i found something unusual comparing

1x 512MB OCZ PC3500 Plat LE BH-5
10x 225mhz 2-2-2-6 at 2.9v vdimm
LDT 3x
16M = 15min 47s

vs

1x 256MB KHX3200K2/512 BH-5
9.5x 238mhz 2-2-2-6 at 2.9v vdimm
LDT 2.5
16M = 19min 51s

SuperPi 1M, 2M, 4M , 8M are all faster with KHX3200 at 9.5x 238mhz 2-2-2-6 but 16M test OCZ PC3500 Plat LE @ 10x 225mhz 2-2-2-6 is waaaay faster ?

SuperPi 16M uses 128MB of ram, would that be way 256MB KHX3200 is slower ? or does the LDT 3x vs 2.5x play a part ?

eva,

9.5x238 1:1 is very misleading
CPU-Z and clockgen will show your memory at 238 MHz BUT IT ISNT !!!

the memory will be running with the 10x divider
i.e. 238x9.5/10 = 226 MHz

EDIT: LDT speed has little to no effect on superpi
