:( :(

My old 9GB IBM Ultra120 drive just went to the big server in the sky.......

Poor thing......it has served me well for over 6 years.......many trouble free windows installs, and God knows how many defrags it has gone through.......

RIP

Ya, it's downtown Sacto. I lease the space and it's where I have my own business. If you give me a PM when you get up to Sacramento for something, swing in and say hi.

I was part timing the "PC Tech" thing for about 3 years while trying to get through college. Eventually college got too expensive and getting a degree in IC design would have taken another approximately 5 years of my life and tens of thousands of more $$, this because I switched majors 70% through the first run at college  ...not such a problem in and of itself except that most folks are about 18 years younger than me when they change horses in the middle of the stream so to speak. Anyway, I got tired of friends, family, and friends and family of friends and family calling me with the old - "...so (such and such) tells me you work on computers...?" And when the money for college ran out and I had to face going back to work full time, I decided "well, I don't work on everybodies PC for free any more". So, I got a business license and have been trying to make a real go of it since last Nov. It's been kinda slow at first, but has picked up a bit in the last month or so. I've done more laptops than desktops in the last 30 days.

There, the story of my recent life in one paragraph or less...
