Tony is manning the OCZ Booth at CeBit this year. He and I decided we would try to keep you guys up to date throughout the week. This thread will have pictures of the products that catch Tony's eye and hopefully are very "Bleedinedge".
I will not have details about any of this hardware other than the pictures themselves, unless Tony provides me with those details. Our plan is to continue updating as he wanders the 20+ buildings (halls) that make up the show, so look for more interesting things to pop up here as I get them.
Hopefully there is enough info in some of the pics so you can find out about the product from the respective manufacturer's :)

First up we have an external battery for your PSP:

It seems our resident memory guru must be interested in obtaining a new headset, following are some of the ones he must have liked:

That is all for now.....more when I get a chance to sift through what he has uploaded :D

College kept me inside Greece for this year's CeBit :(, but...I've got a partner over there.
P.S. He'll be hangin' out with Tony ( Tony L. from OCZ ), but hopefully they'll give us some good coverage :)

cool, Thanks for the pics. do USB headsets require a sound card?? or are they all inclusive??

Beware , with USB headset that's the problem. If you were for example to want to enjoy EAX 4 playback from your game, as you know ONLY Creative Lab sound card have the decoder for it, and no such thing as USB connection on such sound card now is there?

So guess what happens......(Hence why I asked above if a mini rca type was available - I checked and answer is no - USB only)

USB headset will traditional playback the sound supported by your onboard sound chip (mobo ) - but not 100% technically sure on that one, need to research how u redirect output to usb (driver I guess). You can off course use the microphone independant of the audio output device .

[off-topic]on the headphones...I'd go for the ones that I already own ( lol ), the Sennheiser PC-165...USB ( with "onboard" C-Media SPU ) & mini-jack ( analog for ext. SPU )...

Great sound ( sound/frequency-wise , good sound source positioning, 360* sound, excellent microphone ), comfortable, expensive ( LOL, that's a con :D ).

On the CeBit stuff, we'll have some good coverage from Tony L. ( OCZ Tech ) & George ( the owner of the store that I work for :) ).
And there's some nice coverage on XbitLabs (http://www.xbitlabs.com) aswell.

Not much new stuff we haven't seen yet from Tony.

He sent a lot of pictures of Motherboards....but nothing that we haven't seen, a couple pictures of 7900GT and GTX, but I think we all have seen those also.

Quick one before I head out the door...New AM2 K9 board from MSI:

Kind of ODD choice of features really - 9 SATA ports with AM2 ( Dual core 185 let's say) yip nice little server - affordable ram limited sort of (affordable being keyword - once u jump into 4 x 2 gigs and up it will cost u an arm and a leg), but why in the heck would they increase cost but putting 2 x16 SLI ?

Enough Sata ports to support plenty of drives so no need for pci-x scsi disk controller slot - wanna stay SCSI u say - fine get a PCi-E SCSI Disk controller - some work on x4 others on x8.

SLI + Server solution does not compute in my book.

Workstation you say? Why would you go Pci-X as oppose to Pci-E x4 or x2?

Odd beast this is....:hide:

One element that seems consistent among all mobos, if I am not mistaking, is the use of their new 8 phases voltage regulator - that I like. :thumb:

Did we say server?

I have seen the light and fell in love at first sight - gorgeous, full blossom in the proper arena, ready to SERVE and quiet so it is claimed - what else can one ask? That should make for a change as most are always yapping about - Euuhh wait , we talking PC or lady?

The specs vary between the models a bit, but there are eight sockets and up to 16 cores on either one, depending on how you want to set up the system. The Opteron can handle 64GB of memory, 32 for the Pentium. There is one S-ATA drive per blade, and they are coupled through GigE on the back. Each blade has an independent 350W PSU for a total of 1400W, which fits nicely in the 1500W most circuits can provide.

Well maybe a little shy on the sata, but....

Sadly, I bet this cutie is for Sugar Daddies only ... (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=30258)
