Anyone need some 2GB DC action = 2x 1GB OCZ PC3200 Performance Series DC kit (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/OCZ_DDR_PC-3200_2GB_Dual_Channel_Kit) ? I have to say this is one nice pair of 1GB modules to play with. Great for those out there that work with apps that use alot of ram :)

It uses ULNII (Ultra Low Noise 2) technology which can be explained here (http://www.ocztechnology.com/displaypage.php?name=what_is_noise_and_interference)

Based upon the success of ULN PCBs, OCZ Technology has improved upon the quality and design of the PCB and is now ready to begin using PCBs based on ULN II Technology to further reduce noise and interference on the PCB.

ULN II is based on a custom-built PCB with special emphasis on reducing this noise and interference that is present in all electronic circuits. ULN II includes additional shielding features as well as improved signal routing to help increase the maximum speed that can be attained on the module.

The additional shielding present helps to reduce the interference from other nearby devices as well as on the PCB itself. Shielding is generally accomplished through the use of large metal planes that provide protection from electric fields. This helps to reduce the inductive interference as well as the capacitive coupling.

Improved signal routing helps to speed up the overall module as the wire traces on the PCB are more efficiently routed so as to minimize the capacitive and resistive nature of these interconnects as well as find the minimum distance for critical signals. Moreover, special care is taken in the placement and routing of rapidly switching lines to minimize the effect of noise and interference on nearby lines.

These improved features not only allow more stable operation, but also allow the module to run at a higher frequency than the modules based on ULN PCBs since there is less noise and interference at the same switching speed.

Here's a very stable speed benchie:

If ULNII can make 2GB PC3200 kits oc to PC3700 speeds as the same rated timings, I can't wait to see how OCZ's 2GB PC3500 and PC3700 dc kits do :) I noticed that running 2x 1GB saw a very fast and responsive system at all times, especially when loading apps or installing apps with very large sizes i.e. 3dmark2003, codecreatures, ut2003 etc :)

haven't tried tighter, but remember these are 2x 1GB modules at 2.65-2.8v vdimm

You bought MORE ram? LOL, j/k, good sticks then?

Understand that the EB modules give greater bandwidth at looser timings. The advantage is taking RAM chips that want the looser timings and achieving much greater bandwidth. It's real and it works!

We have 2 2gig kits available.EB and performance.

EB has tighter timings and clocks to around 466 or so..the performance (what Eva has) will do 480 to 500 with 3-3-3 timings.

The EB is tuned to give awesome bandwidth and are very good..the Performance range is more budget but is still an awesome product..both are well worth checking out.

I have had some good luck with using a lot of voltage on these

3V should get ddr500 3-3-3 from the performance...3.3v may get you 260+ maybe but its also very borderline the ram will survive long if you choose to run this high.

3V is pretty much fine and usually gets very close to the rams max anyway ;)
