Don't have BF2.
Never played BF2.

Last time I played a tactical shooter and was in a clan, I found I need to spend no less than 20 hours a week to maintain a level of competence I was willing to live with. Practicing 40 hours a week being about the best I could get without converting to a cult...or something.

Of course that is a ridiculous amount of time, and I find it surprising I ever managed it in the first place.

When I do things I like to do them very, very well. Would qualify myself as having been among the best in a particular game at one point in time, enough so that I have bargged about it. Will not bore you with the details now.

Right now, with full time college and trying to not be a total recluse, I can't afford the kind of time that I would (personally) require for me to join a clan, again.

So my vote is, no. I would not join a BE BF2 Clan.

Yeah sorry I don't have BF2 either, but the idea of starting a clan does sound interesting. Maybe start a clan, but with other games as well...Halo, UT, D3, LOD I'm sure I could get a few friends to join and that way they'll finally have no choice, but to join BE forums(They're not much of forum types  ).

Some clan names perhaps:

-BE Road Warrior Team
-BE Hardcore Team
-BE Past MOTM Team (members of the month)
-BE Folding Team
-BE Support Team
-BE Top Poster Team
-BE Top OC Team (Overclocking)
-BE Top BM Team (Benchmark)
-BE WC Team (Water Cooling)
-BE PC Team (Phase Change)

Just a thought :)

It`s fun to play on Ryder`s server with a few of the boys, when he has it running.
Been awhile for me now though.
I`d like to play a few games now and then, but no time to commit to a clan at this point.

Yeah I have just started on playin BF2 now that I have high speed. I found out I harte open wilderness maps as a sniper

I'm sure no one would want me in a clan though, I'm so inconsistent. But it sure beats the hell outta claustrophobic Quake style Multiplayer though!!...

...Until Quake Wars! WAOOO :yikes: :yikes: :bonk:

Should have moderated my last post.

I would not join a BE clan, not because I am not interested, but because I can not afford the time now and probably could not for a number of years.
(This is at least what I am telling myself.)

But, then again, I may find myself with inordinate amounts of time at some more immediate date.
In which case I may pickup a copy of BF2 and go 'hunting' for some familiar names.

We've kind of been down this path a while back sadly not sure we had much success with it, but no harm trying again I guess.

http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10737

Server wise there are a few out there with great pings for most and not well knowned hence 64 player maps with very little people on them - IF - we can get BE people to coordinate/synch watches we could start by trying to play together on existing servers and see how/where it goes from there....

Here is an example of what I am referring to:

http://www.bfggaming.com/index.php

I trust the general agreement to identiy BE people in BF2 is to use the following TAG with no modification or color hack used.

[BE]Soldier's Name

You will for example find me in games as:

[BE]Blindbat be aware that there is a clan out there that utilizes (BE) as their tag.

Edit: For the purposes of consistency and topic related subject - I submit to you that this thread should have been posted / or should be moved to the gaming forum.
