My motherboard has a temp monitor, but my motherboard does not have the CPU overheat protection, I am a bit scared. What program has the CPU overheat protection built in it, MBM5 has it, but my motherboard is not listed for some odd reason so the sensors are not correct:scratch: .

You could always set speedfan to shut down at a certain temp.

Open Speedfan window, click on the configure button. This should bring up another window, click on the temperature tab then click on desired label. This should then pop up a desired & warning temp selection and there you have it. As of course I'm sure you know, that software temp readings can be misleading, so it's up to you.

You should be able to have the CPU shut it down for you if it reaches a certain temp through the bios.I have a Athlon 64 3700+(San Diego) on a BFG Nforce4 ultra motherboard and I have this option. I have Speedfan installed and it reports my CPU at being 127c with no overclocking.I know for a fact that it only runs at 29c.Your bios would be your best option for true readings. Also there is a utility called EVEREST HOME EDITION that reports very close readings also.I agree with Sir Golitech on software readings. Hope this helps.

I get what you both are saying, other people not only me are complaining about the CPU Overheating feature that is not listed in the BIOS:beat: . The bios only has the Q-Fan in the hardware monitoring section, I've been told that the new BIOS update will have more temp monitoring features, lets hope so:look: .
