You need a copy of HL2 installed for this to work. You'll probably be able to load some tracks that are on the demo, but probably not all that are on the full version. I've never tried the demo though, so help yourself. :)

Download the necessary files: GCFScape and Microsoft's .NET Framework 2.0.

GCFScape v1.4 Download (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/files/files/gcfscape140.exe)
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en)

After both apps have been installed, load up GCFScape and click "Open"
Go to the SteamApps directory (eg. C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps)
Select "source sounds" and open it
A menu should open that looks like this:
-root
+hl2
+reslist
Follow the hl2 directory to hl2>sound>music
Double click the song you want to play and enjoy the tunes!

My personal favorites are:
HL1_song15
HL1_song20
HL1_song12_long
HL1_song14
HL1_song15
HL1_song16
HL1_song20_submix0
HL1_song20_submix4
HL1_song31
