It's gotta be record for the slowest time posted to date. I ran SuperPi on an unclocked PIII-1GHz system.
The result was 4h-9m-9s! Can you beat that!

I think I am going to have to get the artillery out and snatch back my title.
Now where did I put that first series pentium (it is running ISA cards) :D
Troubleis I think I have to find Windows 3.2 to run it (it's on something like 10 floppy disks - ugh)

Please don't make me go there!!!! :yikes: I have a 133MHz P series I can "reassemble"
in the closet, been waiting for this day!!!!:mischeif: 8MB of ram enough to run DOS? Is there a version of SuperPI available for that OS?

I ran 3DM01SE with basically the same system at stock speeds. I replaced the 9600xt with a 9200SE (the 9600 was temporary anyhow).
The system hit a whoppin 1918. I don't have a link for two reasons. First I have not set up my net connection on it and secondly who really cares
Cheers
i had an old TI 66mhz until last year, when my parents moved and tossed it. it was running winders 95, i think i could have taken the title with that rig.

Would have been funny to see the results from the TI
i am guessing at least 1 full day, if not 2. IIRC i only had 40mb of ram and a 540mb HDD in that thing....

You got the title...so farSo far, yes... :mischeif: I have my System 2 sweating on it right now and that is the fastest 486 EVER: an Enh. Am486DX5-160 in L1-WriteBack mode with 1 MB of WriteBack L2 Cache, 64 MB FastPage memory running at 40 MHz with minimum WaitStates (50 ns) and an IBM Deskstar 120GXP at PIO Mode 5!!!
Get ready to lose your crown, because the first results are very promising!... :D The initial value finished

yah, but i have a stranger board. Its a Socket A with AGP, SD Ram and SIMM and its got both ATX and AT power connectors. I have been meaning to hook that think up just to see what a 9800Pro with a Pentium 1 are capable of :mischeif:

Ok, stop sweating: the time has come!... :mischeif: My System 2 has finished the Super PI (v1.1e) 32M Test in: ... HEAR THE DRUMS ... :D ... 35h 35m!!!
And to make it even worse, System 3 is about to finish its run :yup: and even though it is the most modern 486 EVER, :wpleased: it is a little slower than System 2: it is PCI (instead of the good old VLB  ) based and it has an Enh. Am486DX5-160 in L1-WriteBack mode with 512 kB (instead of 1 MB) of WriteBack L2 Cache, 64 MB of 50 ns EDO (instead of FastPage) memory running at 40 MHz and a 120 GB IBM Deskstar 120GXP at UDMA-66 (instead of PIO Mode 5)!!!

I got a good one. My dad just handed me a Zenith Slimline 286 lappy with 640K of mem. I checked it out and got it to boot into windows 3.0
Now I need to see if I can get superpi to run on it :D

Will SuperPI fit on the hard drive or will it have to run off the 5 1/2 floppy?
