Converting m4v files (ipod)

I'm trying to convert an m4v file to mpeg.

i can't seem to find a program to do the encoding.

can anyone suggest a program?

I don't think there is a converter program for this file. Far as I know .m4v files are copy protected so they can only be played on your iPod or on your computer from iTunes. I also awhile back was looking to do the same but no go, so I gave up on looking.

Bink and Smacker. RAD Video Tools. Should convert any file into any file, but might increase the size majorly depending.
