DVD Problems

I put a game in my drive, and whether or not I'm playing, it spins.

even when I'm just sitting here typing, it spins until I remove the disc, then, silence...

Any ideas?

Mine does that too, I'm pretty sure it's normal. Anytime the computer accesses the drive it'll spool up, even if it's something like opening 'My Computer'
