Looking forward to seeing what the Prescott and the 4400s will do.

I hear ya. .

What I am really interested in seeing is that the Prescott 2.8 that I have, can do a max of 260FSB on air with the SLK-900. What is the cap with the Vapochill? We shall soon see. . .

Yeah, I can eek out 264 FSB on my 2.8E...stable enough for a little benching with an SP-94.

300FSB would be nice. :mischief:

This is on the 3.4C running at 250FSB on the Vapo LS. Temp is a nice -35C

Are there any particular's that you guys are looking for? I'm not going over the installation of the unit, it is covered extensivly in the manual, unless someone really needs help.

The new CPU retention system is great. I have already switched from the 2.8E to the 3.4C w/o any issues.

I'm still playing with the settings on the chips, but right now it looks like:

2.8E has a cap at 275 FSB. :yikes:
3.4C has a cap at 251FSB :D

Not too shabby.

nice was expecting 2.8E to go a bit higher as chainbolt over OCAU forums has his 2.8E /IC7 Max3 on air with SP-94 prime stable @ 279fsb hehe

:yikes: Wow! ! ! But, my caps posted above are with the P4C800-E w/ AUTO for the VCORE selection. I have not started to ram Voltage up the chips #@$@  I would like to see the 2.8E make it to 300. :D

Here is a screenshot w/ temps. I was playing FarCry for @ 30 minutes after I did the benchs.

With the 3.4C it looks like 250FSB is the max w/ HT DISABLED
With HT ENABLED, here is the info. . .

awesome stuff..

Hawk, someone posted a comparison of Vapochill LS vs Mach ST vs Mach GT at http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?postid=424216#post424216 with 3.4C cpu

they got

Maximum Prime95 running speed on the Vapochill LS was 4250 MHz.
Maximum Prime95 running speed on the Mach II GT was 4400 MHz.
Maximum Prime95 running speed on the Mach II ST was 4250 MHz

Eva2000,

Thanks. Just checked it out.

His results are weird though! I wish I had the GT to compare to.

First:

Why are his Fan's on the LS status page running 12Vdc when mine are 3.6Vdc? Maye a difference in the 110 & 220 Volt unit?

Also,

Look at my Condenser temps and my CPU in Celcius also. Mine is much lower then his. Maybe his has bad contact?

yeah strange indeed... i'm too lazy to break out my mach2 but i just took arrival of my Hydrocool H20 cooling external kit to adventure into my first ever water cooled system hehe funny if my P4 3.4C does 245fsb with it :D ** dreaming i guess **

Here is the Vapo w/ the 2.8E Prescott under full load. I'm rocking right now at 275FSB. The machine boots well into the 290's, but I cannot stabilize it. I got a Memtest score of 13287, but when I ran the PI calculation, Crash :beat: :beat: :smash: :smash:

I'm just using this for reference. There @ 5 people who have this unit and are getting different results. :coocoo:

Hawk,

I just ordered one we cant let you have all the fun:) :thumb:

I was amazed at your temps, i have had a mach1 in the past and it would have a hard time staying sub-zero around the 4 gig relm.

Sam,

Great, let me know if you need any assiatance setting it up. It's pretty straight foward. Also, can't wait to compare results.

ASETEK has released a new version of the CC software. From 1.0 - 1.11 I'll install it tonight and see what new goodies it has. :)

You`ll have to cut a hole in the bottom of your case to pass the cooling hose thru, that`s the hardest part. Mounting the head to the CPU is suppost to be the easest part.

ReDoCeD
04-29-2004, 12:14 AM
well it got to our local depo and afterwork i rang them but they said there on the way out so i have to wait till tommorow night now :|

well if cutting the hole is the hard part it should be easy then :)

Hawk
04-29-2004, 05:01 AM
ASETEK supplies a template to put on the bottom of the case to make the necessary holes. A drill w. a 10mm bit and a dremmel worked for me.

It`ll be a custom job as I`ll be attaching the LS to a socket A and adding two other Vapos to the mix, so, should be interesting.
