What's up with this....I have my Max for a month and they come out with a MaxII? It looks very similar to their 865 board.
ANyone got comments or maybe BigToe has some inside info..........
Will an RMA get me a MAXII in return?

This board looks (on paper at least) a lot better with a 6 layer PCB design and shorter/optimized traces. Not to mention the 4 phase power. In theory should help for tighter timings at high frequency (a problem with most current boards) and overclock better.
I was suspicious when Intel themselves opted for a 6 layer PCb design of their Canterwood board and most of the other manufacturers (except Gigabyte) designed 4 layer boards for the Canterwood chipset.
Comments?
I will be asking a lot of questions with Aopen on tuesday...national holiday monday in Holland, im sure they will tell me all the juicy bits.
Im wondering if they have made this board more overclocker friendly, did you notice the heatsink cage is turned back to normal?
Also the Aopen is the only board i can use with my prommie correctly as reset holds when pressed.
