as soon as i figure out a way getting my ram to run 1:1 at 250+ mhz, i'll post those results as well!

Hey, those are some great numbers. That A64 @ 240FSB Super_Pi 2M time is the same as PJ's 2.8E @ 270 FSB.

What Mods have you done to the mobo? :smash:

just the vdimm mod for now...

i'm actually really sick right now so i don't have the strength to remove my board and do the vcore mod at the moment...

Great scores!!!

By the way you ran the POV-Ray benchmark wrong.....

Did it draw the picture for you as well??? The 512x380 should not be bold which means it was drawing it....there shoul d be no resolution listed cause as stated at the pov-ray site they are taking the drawing of the picture out to isolate something....

Also the numbers in tested and suceeded are not correct and do not match mine and Dapunisher when we run it....

I will email you 2 clips....one that matches yours where my Intel gets 12min 42 sec versus your 18min.....I saw the same thing with Markfw900...

Where are you getting the benchmark.ini file???

YOu should be more like 24-25min range...YOu could be in the low 21-22min range if you ran it with opimized K8 version and Linux 64....

thanks for the help duvie!

edited with new time for povray... came out to 37 minutes...

dunno why it still has the 512 resolution though no picture popped up this time... any ideas?

Either the extra bandwidth or cache or both are making a nice difference in SuperPi because you are killing my time of 41s @2.2ghz 1:1

If you would, go here (http://www.tabsnet.com/) to the download section, grab the XP optimized engine, install it, and when you click on it it'll start POVRAY with it's optimized settings. You should get a nice boost over my best score with the higher clockspeed, and hopefully that extra bandwidth you have will make an impact too.

I agree use the optimized engine...something is not being recognized correctly as your are the 3rd person to get similar results....I think do to the fact the barton 3200+ scores so well makes me think it is not recognizing maybe the SSE2 of the A64 and maybe slowing something donw as well....

I will guess in the low 24 minute range with it....

Good testing....

Now don't forget to run the p4 at 4ghz as well....Then pm me and I will help you type in the command to get the HT of the p4 to work for you...

just noticed someting in your cpuz mem pics bank cycle time is 11 on yours 2-2-2-6-11-16, while on AN50R system bank cycle time is 12, 2-2-2-6-12-16 but there's no where in bios to change these ?

vdimm voltage = 3.36 volts :)

superpi 1M = 35 seconds
2M = 1 minute 21 seconds

1 second off of 1M and 2 seconds off of 2M

Shim,

I would think by the high fsb your running the pci/agp lock actually works. I would love to see a list of 64 boards with a working lock. I am starting to get the 64 bug again lol

shimmishim

there is no pci lock :(

if you read the article over at anandtech, you'll see that the nforce3 boards have no pci lock....

:(

Shim,

I thought that to be true with my ga-8kn pro too but your running at 250 fsb that would be hard to do without a lock of some kind.

i'm only using 1 pci card and that's my winfast tv tuner....

the first time i used it at 240 mhz, the signal was ALL weird looking but once it adjusted, it's been working great...

i still don't think there is a pci lock on this board....

If your stable at 240 that is great:) How is your agp card holding up?

shimmishim
02-21-2004, 09:40 AM
this board has an agp lock...

but it gets flakey sometimes...

i'll be playing war3 and the ati vpu recovery will pop up...

dunno why...

thinking of getting a 9800pro since they are coming down in price like crazy...
