Just having some fun with the ole Xeons on the DN800-SLI. Everything on auto so far, I don't have a lot of BIOS settings with this board so I'm just going to keep cranking on the FSB and see where it stops. :chit: :mischeif:

CPU-Z is not reporting the right info but the speeds are correct.

I'm going to let this burn in for a few days then try 245 FSB. My goal is 250, but I don't think I'll make it because my voltages are starting to fluctuate a little. So far everything seems to be stable, I got 4 F@H clients running and my temps are holding at 38-40c loaded with 23c room temp and the case side off. :thumb:

Thanks DaveT :thumb:

I actualy made a mistake when I ordered the processors and ended up with the passive heatsinks. Anyway, a long story short.....green gardening wire goes a long way

Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering if there was a new mechanism to attach fans to the heat sink

Nice oc there Gene. That is a wild system

Well it was a warmer in the house today and my computer rebooted while I was at work. Don't think it was the temp because my error logs showed one of the F@H clients shut down for some reason.

I was running PCMark05 last night with no problems at all.....looks like I'll have to bust out Prime95 and some Super PI to see whats up.
