A person on a forum where I frequent claimed that Topower psus were actually OCZ psus.

I have heard a few people say things like this in the past, perhaps something like that they are made by the same company, and I wondered if any OCZ rep might like to respond, as we have had visits from you guys before (either Andy or Tony).

I know that Tagan's and OCZ's are the same...but I've never heard of Topower being the same.

As far as I know they are built by the same company that manufactures the Tagan PSU's. They are not re-badged Tagan power supplies with extra bells and whistles. A completely Separate design, built to OCZ's standards.

Thanks for your replies guys.

We still haven't heard if OCZ psu is made by the same people who make Topower, and even if they are I would think the specs would have to be different.

My 520W Powerstream is rock stable under any load :thumbs:

They are made ( as far as I'm concerned ) [ I can ask somebody from OCZ for confirmation if you want me to ] at ToPower.
But they are designed by OCZ & are illustrated like OCZs will.

I would imagine OCZ psus are not simply rebadges Topower psus as was implied in that thread right?

Rebadged PSUs definately not.
I'll ask for confirmation later ( contact @ USA so...6 hours left before I can get in touch with him :) )

Yep OCZ and Tagan are both manufactured by TopPower. OCZ PSU is Designed and engineered specifically for OCZ though and is not just a re-badge.

This is correct....At the current time Topower manufactures OCZ PSU's to our specs....Tagan specs are different.

Unfortunately this guy still claims they're rebadged Topower psus, and then contradict himself by saying "Specs are only slightly different, but made by Topower for sure."

What a nob :rolleyes:
