Not installing..

I just built my new computer and I am try to install the OS, it boots off disk does some common stuff, then when it comes to the part where it says "Setup is Loading Files (Windows Executive)" It just freezes, well doesn't freeze but sits there. Now my disk isn't one of those that you exactly buy new ;) but it has worked before and the OS I am on now was gotten from that disk. Any ideas?

I would say more than likely a scratch in the disk. If not is it an old drive and possibley a bad sector or something? Try wiping clean again and size the partitions differantly. ;)

There is no partitions. It's a a drive fresh off a format. Do you think it might be dead, I might have to wait to borrow my friends disk. :)
