I think you'll find that this movie was meant to be burnt to an 80 Minute CD-R not a DVD+/- R since it is looks to be an SVCD format.

Or it could be that your drive knows you are trying to break copyright laws.

Kev, let's pretend your talking about a non-copyright protected home movie which you downloaded and it is currently sitting on your hard drive as .bin file. We know by the title that it is an SVCD not a DVD. Converting it to DVD somehow is pointless as it will not improve the video quality and will likely make it worse.

Why not instead burn the .bin file to a blank 80 minute CD-R using Nero or some other burning app that will let you burn image files. Or, download Daemon tools and mount the .bin file as a virtual CD-Rom and do a disk to disk copy to your cd burner.

Once you've burned the disk, go play it in your set-top DVD player, as most DVD players should play SVCD's if I'm not mistaken. I know most will play regular VCD's burnt to CD-R blanks, provided they can read burned media in the first place.

So try it, if it doesn't work you'll be out like a penny for the blank CD and 10 minutes of your time.
