Well, I've had enough of heat issues as well as noise issues at full load...so, last night after a rousing game of BF2 I decided to reserach and take the plunge. Here is what my list consists of:

My New Case (http://www.lian-li.com/Product/Chassis/S_C_S_PC-73SL.htm) *more room to work with and tres nice all around*

Cooling System (http://www.corsair.com/corsair/COOL_water.html) *great reviews, great quality, great price*

Something for the 7800GTX (http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcw55.asp) *overclocking, here I come*

Well...got some other things here and there like Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste and my replacement 600 watt OCZ SLI Powerstream came in to help power the system. Next week the system is undergoing the operation...will post the results when all said and done.

Adding to the above...I figured it would be a pain to upgrade my hardware again...pulling out the water-cooling system, refitting things...so...I made things a little easier for myself and...decided to upgrade once again...

-Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo
-AMD Athlon 64X2 4800+ cpu
-2GB Corsair XMS-3500LL Pro memory
-WinXP 64 edition (doesn't really count but ah well ;) )
:fire:

Just a thought... Are you going to overclock the CPU and ram? If so, you may want to wait about 2 more weeks and go with the new DFI NF4 Expert board. I usually do not recommend waiting, but I think it will be worth it!

I might do a bit overclocking, not hard-core though to be honest. I think the Asus should hold up fine for me for a while :D

How are u going to cool the memory on the GTX? heat sinkers ? Have you looked at the other product/waterblock that do both gpu and memory (Innotek among others)...mind you seems very pricey...

joeMan....That DFI nf4 expert is something to look at..if nothing else for the new PWC , which is now a 4 Phase Power regulator versus the 3 phase on the original. I would anticipate that to resolve the issue of the famous 5 volts jumper trick.

Sadly I don't think there is an Ultra version coming out for me, so might have to wait a few months for the price to drop and go full SLI...

Anxious to see results with this bad boy-->Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo, power stability should be a breeze that sucker has an 8 phase power regulator..hehehe

Sorry for sidetrack Kureboy99

yeah...I can't wait to get this project under way...mobo should be arriving on Thursday or Friday granted that it will be in stock next Wed...scoured the web and that's the most recent release date update I found so far.

I didn't realize that the X2's were that overclockable...nice! My OCZ 600watt Pwerstream should supply plenty of juice to this monster
