I have been eyeing up one of those CoolerMaster cases as well. And two 250GB SATA Drives? Wow! Now you will have some room to install 10, 25, maybe even 50 or more Linux distros on your system! Whoops, sorry-I was thinking of what I would do with that much space. :p :D

Western Digital JD models...8mb, I really couldnt justify the $10-20 extra (each) of the Maxtors, and Seagate didnt have any 250giggers out...the Hitachi's are WAY too expensive too..
I cracked my sp1a XP Pro CD...so Im trying to make another now (using the how to sticky from here) to maybe use them in raid...:D

ouch snapped your winxp cd  you mean the copy or the original ?
how much did the 250GB WD cost ya ? i've seen 250GB Maxtor Maxline Plus II PATA for US$220-240
I use PATA with SATA adaptors hehe

Looks awesome dbwillis, I'm really looking forward to seeing how those drives measure up in the real world. And you're gonna love that case, I absolutely love my CM and have been eyeing the new one for a while.....;):D

Shim-
I got the case from essencompu.com...
I ordered it on Wednesday around 530pm.....I expect it Monday.
They are in NYC and the regular shipping from them comes next day because they are so close.
They also ship the same day (most of the time) and dont have that 2-3 day 'processing time' like newegg.
Ive had great luck with them.
I got the drives from Newegg....
Yeah, I love Essencompu....very fast processing and with free two day FedEx on the stuff I buy it's the same as NewEgg for me but I don't get bent over for 8% sales tax.

got the case yesterday, installed last night, used 128k stripe in the RAID setup....worked perfectly with the sp1 slipped XP...compliments of the sticky here on how to do it..
temps went up though...before was max 56'c :) ,now I hit 64'c:(
2 fans on the front, 1 in the back....I used to have 1 in back, none in front but 1 in the side....
Ill have to do some addition of a 120mm quiet fan to the side panel maybe....or the back..
looks nice though, Ill get some pics of soon...then Ill test the RAID
