Hrmph.... I was just asking on why my sound has been going downhilll. I have an nForce II Ultra Infinity w/onboard Sound. After I play games for a while(ex. NFSU, Half-Life Mods, COD) it starts to static and delays the sounds. I reinstalled my drivers 3 or 4 times. Maybe there was some problems with the motherboard that I'm unaware of that are linked to bad sound? Maybe? Possibly? If so please write back, if not, I'll just have to not care and deal with it. BTW, I haven't been here too long and I believe this is my first post, but from what I've seen it's lived up to what people tell me ++. Congrats on a wonderful site.

Welcome, IVlaximus

I just bought this same mobo and did a hasty install on it this weekend to have it up in time for my LAN party. I did not experience any sound problems with it though we didn't play any of the games you listed except for COD and that only for a few minutes as we were playing coop games - it sucks that COD did not include this multiplayer mode. I have had a couple other problems with this board though. I almost hate to comment on them since I basically just took it out of the box and threw it in - I didn't go through the bios much yet. The first problem was my usb mouse would not work at all when plugged into the rear ports (I didn't try it up front.) I originally installed win2k/sp2 and the mouse wouldn't work. I changed the bios setting from 1.1/2.0 to 1.1 and windows wouldn't load on the next boot. I changed it back and it still wouldn't boot. I was pressed for time because of the party so I decided to just reinstall windows. I could not boot from CD (I did with the first install). It kept telling me I had an invalid line in some setup .sif file. I tried booting from 2 different xp cd's, a win2k cd, and a win98 cd. At this point I started to get a little concerned. I reloaded the bios defaults ( remember all I changed was the usb setting and then changed it back) and then I could boot from cd again without errors. The other problem I have is that aida32 completely locks up the computer when it starts, it seems to hang at the "scanning pci slots" part of the startup screen. I have to back up some files on one of my partitions and then I'm going to reload this thing again in a more controlled fashion and see how it goes. I will let you know if I encounter any sound problems.

Hrm... I've seemed to have neutralized the problem with COD by changing the sound to 3d EAX. Don't know why it worked, but Meh. The others still did it, like WC III FT, as I was playing at the lan. Oh well. (BTW, COD has other non coop modes,)
