do you guys use maxtor/wd inf files? or windows xp inf files for hard drives?

I have never used the maxtor/wd inf files before, but now I see that
they have them on the disk that comes with the drive.

Should I use those?

The Windows XP inf files should work fine with any ATA drives that you may use.
