Good luck to both!

swiftech mcx4000 barely fits on the p4p800.
a fan header is made useless and i bent one of its pins out of the way to give it proper clearance.

Yeah, the dreaded Asus FSB hole with bios 1005.

ErikaeanLogic
06-05-2003, 06:31 AM
Where is this hole, what fsb range? I didn't notice it.

Thor

My 2.53B chip wouldn't post at 175fsb on my P4P800, until I flashed to 1006 bios.

If you go to the Asus website, and see what the 1006 fixes are, it will tell you the fsb hole range.

just with so many p4p800 reviews going on i wanted to do something a bit different and not just another thread for the sake of it. (especially since im only using a B chip)

current opinion: so far so good!

Hey Thugs, why don't you just roll up to Illinois and we'll have a real test session. Take my P4 Mobile Wonder 1.6m @ 255fsb, along with my 2x256 OCZ PC3700 Gold, and we'll stick it in that board. Then we shall put it through it's paces!!!

hehe.....can't wait to see what comes of it, good luck brotha....

Ouch, dreaded work holdin' a man back from his hobby. Blasted slave drivers. Anyways, good luck PJ, not that you'll need it. :beat:

Shoot PJ, just noticed you are in Chi-Town, I'm only about 1.5hours away. Anyways, I thought about switchin' boards myself, but maybe Abit will come through with a good bios sometime this year.
