These tests were done using a PCI Bus Analyzer
AGP/PCI Lock Test
With the freq setting set at 33.3mhz, I tested each fsb setting from 100fsb to 220fsb. The lock worked fine, without so much as a flux. I had two hiccups along the way where my system failed to bootone at 178fsb and the other at 201fsb. Both times the PCI bus freq was 33.5mhz, and both times I re-booted and it booted fine.
At regular intervals I ran a benchmark and copied a large file from my cd-rom in an attempt to load the bus, and the freq never wavered.
I also tried setting the freq setting at different freqs and at different fsbs and all seemed to work fine.

This is where it gets interesting. I set the freq setting to Auto, and then tested each fsb setting from 100fsb to 220fsb. Here are my results:

33.3mhz to 38.7mhz worked as advertised, settings above fluxuated
39.0mhz = 38.9-39.0mhz
39.3mhz = 39.2-39.3mhz
39.6mhz = 39.5-39.6mhz
39.9mhz = 39.8-39.9mhz
40.2mhz = 40.1-40.2mhz
