my xms 3500 512 x 2 finally arrived. did memtest 3.0 with my 2.4c and P4C800-E at 1:1 ... here's the results:


vdimm max fsb timings

2.85 ------- 224 ------------ 2-2-2-5
2.85-------- 231 ------------ 2-2-3-5
2.85-------- 231 ------------ 2-2-3-6
2.85-------- 231 ------------ 2-3-3-5
2.85-------- 231 ------------ 2-3-3-6

**it looks like it's stuck at 231 FSB..loosening the timings did not help...im gonna do the vdimm mod when my prommy arrives...i hope i can get 250 FSB with 2-2-3-5 so i can use 5:4 ratio while aiming for 3.7+GHz.

***to those who want to do VDIMM mod to their P4C800/-E..do not waste your $$$ buying a potentiometer and a multitester--buy a 1/8 watt or 1/4 watt 6 K ohm - 8 K ohm resistor to achieve 3.2-3.3 vdimm...

about right for xms3500c2

i got my existing and very very old 2x 512MB XM3500C2 to 240mhz 2-2-2-5 at 3.3v vdimm and 245mhz 2-3-2-7 at 3.3v

have 4x 512MB XMS3500C2 new ones coming next week to check out (get some before BH-5 disappears off the market)
