Thanx and also holy cow I guess this new operation system will not be a OS for gammers so much resources will be used for the OS and non for the game alone wow...

is there a dnld link somewhere??
Rukee, the Beta1 is avilable only to MSDN subscribers or people with other sources...
I made a thread here (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=38&threadid=1650125) on my impressions of Vista.
There's a crapload of screenies links & thoughts in there, etc.
Frankly, it was fun to try out, but i'm happy with XP, TBH.
I haven't even booted into Vista for over a month now.

Hahaha nahhhhh they fixed LOTS OF bugs and probs with the OS so its good. The only 1 thing I dont know why isnt working is the msconfig when you enter it in the run prompt its weird. Either way the OS is cool and fun to use I like the new look almost looks like XP but better loving the transparent look.

I just installed it and so far I'm loving this. Any reason why I shouldnt use this as a main OS?

So does that mean the Vista is running rock solid for you? Im in a big want to change OS's...dont really like XP anymore and want to move on, thats why I ask if Vista is nice and somewhat stable for normal usage.
So does that mean the Vista is running rock solid for you?
Yes, I have not encountered any issues as of yet. Normal day to day working like a charm. It's hard to go back to XP now with all the additional eye candy features in Vista. . .

To your knowledge, are we heading towards a real requirement of a 7800 GTX and an FX 57 with 4 gig off memory to use this OS + Games that need say 2 gig of mem to fell spiffy.
Yes. :yup: The OS does run on lower requirment hardware, but you loose the kewl video functionality. It's time to the CPU makers to step up to the plate and bring something new to the table. The graphic makers sure have. . .

have you tried mininova? I think they have some torrents for Vista. They might be fakes though.
