While true, hopefully game developers utilize this feature to make use of it...I'm sure they will, most likely Battlefield 2 (since it already has support for the X-Fi cards) will support it with a future patch. :thumb:

Sorry for the update delay...*hides*...but I must say after testing out movies, games, and music...this card rocks like nothing else in the consumer PC soundcard dept...it IS that good! Everything is smoother from top to bottom and when the Crystalizer is enabled...it's game over for any other soundcard you can throw at it...no joke. Playing BF2 with EAX and srround sound enabled is total emersion into the game...you become accutely aware of EVERYTHING around you...from the wind blowing on the flag to waves...to bullets zinging by your head. In the movie dept, it sound like someone actually turned up the THX system in Skywalker Labs or something...again, total emersion putting a smile on your face. The music is lush and as it should be with no coloration what-so-ever...my musci collection never soiunded so good. What's more is that lower bitrate music sounds, somehow using the crystalizer, better than before...hard to believe but true and I can vouch for that. Again...if you're in the market for a new soundcard and want one that will last you a LONG time...look no further than the X-Fi cards SoundBlaster has to offer...you won't be disappointed, honestly. :thumb:

Do you have a close up picture of it?
And can you tell me what connections are on it, since the different descriptions around the net are not that accurate... I understand it lacks a lot of connections that were on the Audigy 2 ZS.
Thanks and good luck with your new card! :thumb:

^ thanks bud... :)
You can find some pics here: http://www.guru3d.com/article/sound/246/5/
It basically looks exactly like that except for the big block thing at the top right of it...not sure what that is. The connections right now are a breakout serial connector and a line in (with digital support) and 3 line outs for front, center, sub, and surround speakers. If you want more connections you should save up for the Platinum edition which comes with those extra connections.

Thanks, but I actually meant the onboard connectors, like CD-In/Aux-In/Game etc?
By the way, that "big block thing" ;) is just a fancy LED that says X-Fi! :p
P.S.: I just noticed I am having a celebration again... this is post #300 for me!!! http://members.chello.nl/h.h.j.f.beens/temp/yipee.gif

lol...so that's what that is...hehe. :D
It has an Aux in (for cd in), SPDIF_IO connector, an AD_EXT connector (what this is I dunno...maybe a daughter IO board connection with rteh SPDIF_IO connector in conjunction, and lastly another connector that I don't know what it is (right next to the AUX connector)...

Thanks again! :thumb:
So they removed the CD_IN/CD_SPDIF/TAD/SB1394/JOYSTICK connectors... :look: :( Why did they do that!!!??? :|
By the way: the SPDIF_IO and AD_EXT connectors are for the internal extension box, like the one that comes with the Platinum. And that white connector next to the AUX_IN is, eventhough it is described nowhere on their site, meant to be attached to the Front I/O Audio connectors on your case: Headphone/Microphone.
