Link to download this nifty set. (http://www.guru3d.com/newsitem.php?id=746)
I was hesitant to try these, having heard nothing of a new release this soon after the 52.16's. Of course I couldn't resist temptation, so I downloaded and installed them... had to reinstall my coolbits registry hack, but that happens with every driver update. So I'll get to the details...
The 52.70's do not counteract FutureMark's 340 build of 3DMark2003 which disables some of nVidia's driver optimizations... my FX5900 @ 490/940 scored 6150 on build 330 and 5300 on build 340. No change after the 52.70's were installed.
So I fire up the Desert Combat mod of BF1942, play a few different maps that I knew had problems... the ground textures would disappear and reappear randomly. I was a little hesitant to say 100% that this driver fixes that bug, because I never had a problem with the 52.14 drivers like everyone else was having, it wasn't till I got a set of the 52.16's before they were WHQL Certified that I experience that problem. But the 52.70's have fixed that for me... I've yet to hear from anyone else if they fix the problem for them too.
Cliff Notes: 52.70 Drivers = Good... if you have a GeForce FX, there's no reason you shouldn't download and use these.
