The Planar monitors are (at least I have heard) very good. But just like my ViewSonic, the one I have is very, very, very good and you will not even find it at Best Buy. The ViewSonic at BestBuy is not nearly as good. This Planar might be the same way.

16ms response time and 400:1 contrast ratio seems pretty good for $300 or less and sounds like a steal. I have the 19" 25ms Planar and love it. :wave:

400:1 contrast is good. 16ms response time is even better. What's the brightness?

For comparsion with my monitor:
500:1 contrast
16ms response time
260 nits for brightness

And also what are and how many connectors are on the monitor. I hope it has DVI and Analog.

So far this Planar looks like a good one. :)

If the brightness is 250 nits or higher then yes, thumbs up. :)

Make sure to purchase some klear screen for the monitor. You can find this product at any Apple Computer Store. I'm not kidding-you really should get this stuff. :)

looks like they had to order more from planar!

someone said they got an order for 4500 of these within 2 days!!!

so.. we are goign to be waiting A LONG time for these LCD's to come or we have the option of cancelling our order and getting in on a "special price" for this lcd....
