P4P800D no bus ratio settings?

Is the Abit IC7 the only canterwood or springdale where you can choose any ratio at any FSB with the NB strap settings?

I cannot find such a setting on my P4P800D

When I increase the overclock by a % up to 30% the ram speed goes down. 173mhz at 30% = 3.4G with the 2.6p4

When I set the ram to 400 i cannot get above 220 on the cpu bus and still boot. I MEAN EVEN THE BIOS WILL NOT COME UP WITHOUT BEING CLEARED AND RESET.

This is with both a 2.4c and a 2.6c D1 revision and corsair pc3500 ram.

have i shot myself in the foot with the P4P800D or am i missing something?

howdy,

If you go into the "Configure System Frequency/Voltage" page, there is an entry called "DRAM Frequency" which will allow you to pull back the operating frequency of the memory, ie: DDR320 and 266 are your options, according to the manual. A screenshot of the configuration screen is at the top of this page. (http://www.hexus.net/review.php?review=556&page=5)

Hope that helps:)

320 (333) is 5:4 and 266 is 3:2. asus just called them by frequency instead of ratio. Do the math.
