Hey guys just wanted to know if anyone else is getting occasional black screens during game play. I am able to avoid this problem by turning terrain on low and textures on med. I wish there was something I could do to run everything on high. Anybody with similar system specs having this problem? A friend of mine says it could be the RAM paging, so maybe ill get another GB of VX... if I was sure that would fix it I would do it right away. Thanks in advance. :wpleased:

i get a black box sometimes when looking down the iron sights sometimes, and sometimes i will lose sound but only my weapons i can hear everything else??? :scratch: The black box and sound seem to go hand in hand ....when i get the blackbox is usually when i get the sound problem??? :scratch:

im ok my system is close to yours i just a little lag some times... most of my game settings.. are on med and high... but i have a 6800gt card..

My game lags sometimes and when it lags it lags horribly bad I think the memory leak that EA Games said is taking effect on my machine.

Rocket $auce - we have almost identical mobos and identical video cards...are you on the latest Catalyst drivers? I am and they run BF2 like butter (on my system anyway).

Are you running the stock HSF on that card? If so, it may be worth your while to install ATItool and look at your temps under load, you might be heating up too high, in which case erhaps you need to remove HSF/Ram sink and do a custom job on them with some AS Ceramique...something of the likes. Also, make sure your case is getting a nice cool flow of fresh air through it to feed the GPU HSF - and a nice clear/clean case interior with cables and wires neatly tied up and tucked away. You probably already have done all this, but it sounds heat related so I thought I should mention it just in case...

I have every damn thing turned up to the max in Catalyst CP, and in-game, and it rocks steady, no black screens. Now if I can just spawn without getting instantly capped...geeeeeez...
