Upon changing RAM (RAM changed with the machine powered down and cord disconnected from unit.), this board will not beep or boot up at all. No display as well. Went back to the old RAM that was in it and nuthin'. :(

I ordered a replacement bios chip that I will hopefully get tomorrow. I hope this works.

hm, it might be that you have killed the board. Ever heard of ESD? It's stands for Electro Static Discharge, it's everywhere around us. The thing is that you can have blown one of the small chips on the board and that will end stop working. Sorry to hear about the mobo tho. :/ Might just be that the bios chip is erased. who knows. :D

Doubt it is ESD, which yes I know what it is and what it means. If I remove the RAM from the board it will give me that nice little beeeeeeeeeep warning. Found out that it is nothing unusual for these boards to blow the bios every once and a while. Basically the board works in the sense of seeking the drive devices and such but no beep (which this board does) for bios passing the startup process. Had a similar thing happen on an Asus A7N8x Deluxe board and the bios chip fixed it as well. :)
