Figured it out ! What needed to be done was to download and install the so called cheater driver 44.03 which enables the "Pure" hardware T&L rendering method and voila, my score went from 11K to 16K ! !! Hope this will help anybody that runs into this problem .

My D3Dmark1 is 12K . Very dismal score compared to similar systems of Barton 2.5GHz oc' to 3200+, 1GB Dual channel RAM on Futuremark db. These systems have up to 18K-20K score. What' s the secret ? They all seem to have "D3D Pure Hardware T&L" setting, how do I set the pipe rendering method to D3D Pure hardware T&L ? The combo menu in 3DMark2001 SE I run has only two option, ie software and hardware T&L ? What do I need to make this "Pure T&L" option available ? Thanks.
