Half Life 2 and the 77.72 drivers

I just installed the 77.72 drivers....now I get "Failed to set Video Mode - Falling back to fail safe settings"

Well %#@ the fall back doesn't work because it does it over and over again....anyone else with this issue? or seen it before?

Nope never seen it however I am using to 77.73 driver with no issues
