Well anything I dont mind I just wanna play I dont care who with lol my screen name in the game is Kev_Dawg aswell. So I dont mind if there is enough BE members that wants to play I'll host a temperary server so we can all play if not then we find a public server. So ya go do wut u gotta do and I'll come back to see if ur back I'll play like 5 or 10 mins of the game so post when u get back so I know. :beer:

Allrighty, I'm all loaded up, tweaked, and ready to play.

Applied command line tweak: +szx 1920 +szy1200 to start in native 1920x1200.

Also removed all movies from playing during load/logon/etc.

In game console tweak displays FPS in upper left corner: renderer.drawFps [0,1]

Just finished a map with Kev_Dawg. We lost to Chinese forces but it was a good fight
We were on these servers:

205.234.159.229 laggy as hell had to bail
69.41.232.170 tried to meet here but Server Full couldn't log on
64.69.36.33 Finally played out a USA vs. China map here

well...I should get my copy today so I will try and join you guys...I know, I know...I should have pre-ordered it at the store instead of going through EBGames online...2 days after the game releases I get it...and it shipped out Monday but somehow got downgraded to USPS instead of fedex 2 day like I opted for... *grumble grumble*

You know it's crazy, but my Fry's has ALWAYS without exception had all new games in stock and out in big stacks - on release day - and plenty in stock for the days after too. Tons of HL2 and DooM3 were there when they hit. oh ya, and always on sale too - usually for $10 under full pop.

The worst I ever saw of them being low on stock was yesterday with BF2. By the time I got there there were only about 50 copies left. That was late afternoon on June 23rd.

Anyway, I have been burned too by my local GameStop with other games like you guys say about pre-ordering. They still owe me $15 for my copy of HALO2 I never picked up. They said I forfeited my deposit and that a "district manager" was looking into it - ya right, I never heard back again...I think I'll write the main office a letter.

I'm using the Omega drivers and it plays real well I aint getting the ATi driver untill they put a fix in it for BF 2.

make sure you don't have a forced refresh rate program enabled while playing BF2...or you will crash every time...HTH ya :thumb:

BTW have you tried closing all your program and such before playing and btw scan for errors/spyware/virus's maybe thats it and defrag your pc all that should make the crashing stop atleast :scratch:

BTW, if anyone has a wide screen monitor and wants to play Battlefield 2 in widescreen mode (right now there is no support apparently but hopefully will be fixed in future updates), go to the command line in the shortcut and add the following to the target field: +szx 1920 +szy 1200

This is my resolution but you can compensate with whatever you need it to be, hope this helps my widescreen brethren out there :thumb:

Just got done playing for like 4 hours, its a fun game. I have a question though, how do you make a kill when using missles and you hear the LOCKED Target beep? I seem to miss all the time, am I missing something?

It should trail to the jet or helo...but if they are good, that missle can be avoided without even using chaff...the same happened to me a couple of times when trying to shoot someone down

I have a machine setting here that could be a server....P4 630 with Abit mobo...OC's to 4Ghz pretty easy...3.75 no problem....don't know if my 3meg down 512 up line is enough though :(

That is your internal IP address.....go to www.whatismyip.com we all need to use your external :)

Make sure you router has the correct ports allowed to pass.

There we go.....now....go into your router config and forward port 16567 to that first IP you showed..which should be the computer the server program is running on :)

Although your router will "bounce" and your IP will change probably...do you have DSL or cable?

I just finished my best round ever - but I was on the losing team. Still, 55 points - 8 flag captures, forgot how many kills but a lot, I was a machine gunner in a heli, support troop.
