Hi I just bought a Thermaltake Armor Aluminium case which comes with a 430W PSU.

My system is going to have a P4 Prescott 3.2E Ghz 1mb CPU
1gig 2X 512 mb of Corsair RAM.
160 gig HDD
Audigy ZS sound card
X800 Pro 256mb vid card
DVD RW

do u think this will be good enough and not cause too many problems or do u reckon I should go for a better PSU than the case one?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thank you

Is this (http://www.tr2tt.com/products/psu/w006970/w006970.htm) the right PSU? The problem is that it only has 18amps on the 12volt rail.... that might not be enough. The CPU needs 9a. The graphics card another 5a. Thats 14amps without any other components.... It might just manage, but I would want something with a bit more headroom personally. If you are planning to overclock at all, then just plain forget that PSU.

:welcome: to BE Conork. Hope you enjoy time here. We are here to help and take you to the BleedinEdge.

What he said. 430w is a tad low especially if you want to overclock that system or upgrade. Here are a few links for you to calculate wattage:

I am looking at a similar case but will be able to pick it up without the PSU. That is one very nice case you have there. I and probably everyone else here would love to hear a lot more about it and see some pics. I want to find a store that has one out so I can go over it to be certain it is the right one for me.
