Is this possible at all like I just kinda overclocked it just a little bit here is the detail below.

Core: 472
Memory: 486
Temp: 44 Degrees not in gameplay just Idle.

So ya how far can I push it before I get worried of the hardware to overheat?

According to an article over at TechPowerUp these cards are made to handle up to around 100c. Most advice I see given is to try to keep the loaded temps in the 70's range. It's a pretty good bet that you will have problems with artifacting or memory corruption before you hurt anything with temps. With a vmod it would be a different story; you can kill a card on air cooling with temps, on water or phase change it's usually volts that kill it.

Just go for it... ;) Take it to the Bleedin Edge...

Seems to me that the x800 and x850 series tend to run hot. An aftermarket video card cooler would be worthwile if the system's a keeper.

To see how hot the card will run set the fan to 100% (I use rivatuner) and run 3DM01SE, loop only test #4 (nature test) 25 times (~22 minutes). The highest I have seen my card hit is 65C with the core clocked to 555 and using a stock cooler (it's noisy at 100%). Nothing else gets the core hotter than this.

Use this same procedure to up your core by 5MHz from stock until it can't complete the 25 loops then back down 5MHz and you are at or near the core's max overclock.

For mem run 3DM03 troll's layer. Up it by 5MHz. I notice a few artifacts after a couple of loops if I am pushing it. They appear like small black squares, lightning strikes, etc. I seen these on the walls in the troll's lair.

I installed a zalman vf700 to see if I can lower my temps but so far temps stay the same but the thermal paste may not have set yet. ON the plus side the zalman is a hell of a lot quieter than the stock cooler and the ram sinks look cool.

No. With the stock cooler locked up at 100% speed the difference in loaded die temp is about 1C per 30Mhz of OC at stock Vcore.
