My motherboard requires/recommends having 18A on the 12V rail. I am thinking about getting a powersupply with a 10A 12V1 and a 15A 12V2.

Would that satisfy the requirement?

system info:
athlon 64 3700+ 90 nm (not overclocked)
msi k8n neo4-f (nvidia nforce 4 standard)
geforce 6600 gt (not overclocked/ no SLI)
2x512 OCZ gold edition DDR400 @2.8V, 2-2-2-5
dvd-rw 4x
dvd-rw 16x
zip 100
floppy
internal usb 6-in-1 card reader
western digital 10,000 rpm raptor 74gb
soundblaster audigy 2 zs
2 case fans @ 5V
1 video card fan @ 5V
1 cpu fan @ 5V

I just made a power table, like the one in the BE guide. My computer only uses 217 watts!

If you are planing to overclock then that seems a little low but for everyday use it should work. also if you plan on upgrading you might find yourself running out of headroom in the future.

What power supply are you looking at getting?

Looks like a nice unit, it should do the trick for you. :)

i was thinking of getting the seasonic super silencer instead... it has a single 19A rail instead of the S12's 10A 12V1 and 15A 12V2.

what do you think? The super silencer is a bit older and isn't as efficient as the s12.
