The Sonata doesn't have much space for a 120mm exhaust fan on top of the PSU. I am guessing that the Sonata and an OCZ Modstream PSU are incompatible? Any input is appreciated!

Yea, ... I have access to a ton of tools (hole cutters, dremel, jigsaw, files, ... an entire workshop). So the only way for it to work is to cut a clean 120mm hole and install the fan guard on the exterior huh? Just wondering ...

Good to see you again Safeway. Where you been hiding?

I was thinking of modding my case (upside down PSU) so it would pull in cool air from the top and exhaust out back. Never got around to it yet (I need 30 hours a day to do all I want to do). IYhis would be an interesting mod to see :thumb:

The modstream will fit, like any other PSU, taking away heat straight from CPU-cooler.
The big prob with changing it to "BTX" is, that the case is made from a single sheet op steel. So it isn`t yust removing the popnails, and turning the front panel.

Good luck.

Well, I was looking to build a second system in the near future ... a AMD64 system most likely. Now that I think about it, the ModStream won't need to fit in the Sonata, as I will be getting an Antec P180.

I wish OCZ didn't sleeve everything in that silver/blue color, and I am too lazy to resleeve. I am thinking about a PC P&C 510W SLi PSU, and getting 2 6800 Ultras discount (7800GTX is just too much atm). From there, I will either run one massive water circuit, or two zones, one for gfx and one for CPU.

Who knows.

As to where I have been, ... college is the short answer. Work, school, etc is the slightly longer answer ;)
