I recently bought an OCZ Powerstream 520W for the reasons that anyone who bothers to do research will know as obvious
My problem is that it ticks away madly, at times, and at others is silent.
Having discussed this with a friend who also uses this ps, he told me of an issue that plagued these psu's a while back, of the AFPC build-up ticking away until discharge, when it stops.
I do not know if that is what this is, but it is definitely the psu and definitely not the fan touching something, although it sounds a lot like that.
It ticks about as fast as a timing light although pretty quietly, except that it is annoying the heck out of me :beat:
I understand that there was none of these psu's available in Australia for a while, as you guys worked the bugs out of the new revision, but it's always possible that I got some old stock isn't it?
Is this how this issue was described?
I need to know, so I can specify to my supplier to organise newer stock for me when I RMA it, and I'd rather speak from a position of knowledge, than not.
Thanks guys.
