Well... I got my P4P800 this afternoon and have already got it set up and going. This is one of the most forgiving mobos I have ever used!!!

I have already been able to push my 2.4b to 165 fsb... that's 10 more than I could on my P4S533. The memory scores are out of this world. The only frustrating thing is my 2.4b just will not make the 3.0+ jump... hits 2.97 @ 165... anything past that and it will not boot.

I am sure weighing the options as to whether I should sell my 2.4b and get a 2.6c. It's only money right...

I ordered (2) iS2 IDE to SATA adapters this morning and they should be here by Friday... this should be a rock'n system.

BT or Prom... if you guys read this... do you have any bios settings and/or suggestions??

Take care,
Sweeper

Good to see you over here... Skully.

I will be waiting to hear how your new setup goes. I can't wait to get my iS2 adapters so that I can try the SATA Raid. Once I get those in I will be down to a single PCI card in my system.

Good luck... :)

Congrats on the board man!

I just got mine, and was wondering which video card you use, and how much clearance there is between the AGP slot and the MCH heatsink.

I've got a 9800 Hercules coming soon, and I just looked at the board, and man, she's tight!

Thor...

Thanks... yeah, this board is awesome!!! Can't wait for my 2.6c and my SATA converters to arrive.

To answer your question... I am using an Nvidia Ti 4600. It is tight but everything fits. The biggest problem I had was with my hoses for my watercooling.

Good luck with yours... let us know how it goes.

Hmm, I don't know if this is because of MBM5, or this board is reading lower then usual temps. I haven't tried the Asus software monitoring util yet, but my idle and f/l temps are a LOT lower then on my P4G8X using the same cpu and HSF setup.

CPU - 2.53C1 @ 1.525vcore @ 3.343ghz (175fsb)

P4G8X - 41 (idle), 52 (f/l)
P4P800 - 29 (idle), 42 (f/l)

Mine have dropped about 2f... I'm thinking it is because of the fresh coat of Artic Silver 3... Maybe..

Hehe,

Hey, one more silly question. Does memory ratio options only appear in the BIOS when you use a 200fsb cpu? I didn't see anything, other than Asus overclock percentages.

TIA!

Mine do the same:
Running 2 instances of Seti on P4G8X with 3.06HT @ 3.4Ghz I am getting 53-55C F/L (Alpha 8942 w/80mm/50cfm Sunon)
Running 2 instances of Seti on P4C800 with 2.6C @ 3.4Ghz I am getting 43-45C F/L (SLK900U w/92mm/57cfm Panaflo)

Could be the heatsinks or board sensor chips or all of the above. As long as it stays under 55C F/L, I don't get to concerned. :eyepop:

I'm running H2o on my P4P800 Deluxe, my temps @ load are 28-29C. This sure is a great mobo! :)
