considering the unresolved issues ith IC7 Max3 such as 2.9v vdimm issue and 5:4 issue i'd suggest P4C800-E :)

Ditto eva's recommendation. Kicking myself for not doing the same.

I'm a slow learner...:wack:

I was in the same decision making situation myself. Went for the Asus because of all the issues with the MAX3 and memory. Couldn't wait for a bios update, and the latest 1.3 and 1.8 beta bios' didn't do squat.

I've read the OCZ pc4000s work very well at 275fsb 1:1 memory ratio. I'll see how far my golds will go this weekend when I get my board. :yummy:

Why bothering with all that MAX3 probs. Get yourself a P4C800-E instead... ;)
If u are tempted by the 3.2v vdimm MAX3 has, there is a very easy vdimm mod for P4C800-E. :)

I have the version of the Lian-Li w/o the window. Great case, but a bit on the small side. Unless you are going to omit the lowest, slide-in drive bay (i.e., the one behind the front intake fans), I think you will have a very tight fit cramming water cooling into that case. Not that it can't be done, but it will be cramped.

i ordered a lian-li pc-65B (black) from mwave for $122 vs $158 at newegg :(). it should be here by tuesday. first thing i ll do is make a tophole for the 120mm fan. then another 120mm for the chevette heater core (prolly in the front ) .

for the first time, im so patient collecting my components..

actually my main reason for having chosen PC-65 is that when the time comes prommy mach II becomes affordable ( hahaha 10 yrs from now).. i can just get me a topless aluminum unit..
