interesting the say
We would also like to note that the errors found in test 5 and 8 do not mean the memory is faulty. As the Memtest86 homepage states: "Errors from this test [5 & 8] are not used to calculate BadRAM patterns."
hmmmmmm.. i've always taken test 5 errors to be related to memory
Tony care to add to this ? maybe ask OCZ techs as well i.e memtest test#5 reported errors on a stick of memory compared to how OCZ uses their machines to test the same stick - will both methods report a bad stick ?
don't seem to say where in memtest they error at.. haven't read all the review yet

i guess with 50k+ error is nothing...like u will loose a frame here and there...so as long as the ram still runs it ok???

youre being sarcastic right?
NO ERRORS ARE EXCEPTABLE!
would you be happy if your car only backfired once in a while? i didnt think so ;)

While using the R.S.T. Pro we were able to find memory errors that other testing methods could not find or reproduce.
Ok, not to be critical, but where are the results showing the memory errors that other testing methods could not find or reproduce.
All i see are the standard tests.

of course...ahahaha...i don't see why they would have the OCZ with 50k+ errors at 53xMhz and the corsair at 517Mhz with no error...marketing ploy?

looks like they were just too lazy to actually finish testing.
that chart tells us basicaly nothing about the memory that errored.
obviously it CANT run that high on the voltage they gave it.
maybe PJ could fill us in on what happened with that review?
56k plus errors? :look:
I remember Tony offering an opinion on an acceptabe number of errors.
If you get less than 10 errors in memtest over say a 2 hr period i wouldn't worry about it.The memory controller on the board will correct them without issue.

Dang Thugs... Think you are being a bit critical here. I think it's a great review and is an improvement over the way most sites do their reviews. Give them props unless you think that you can fork out $2300 as they did and do better.
Great Review from a great site.

Hey guys, please don't link images from other servers to the board unless you have permission (not including your own servers), it uses bandwidth which isn't ours. Thanks!! :)

56k+ error...
by tony's logic...
10 error per 2 hours max...
so...
the testing time for the OCZ...
56000/10 *2hrs = 11,200hrs = 466 2/3 days
btw...i agree with thugs...
if you are gonna do a review on a product...do it right...not something like that...
